Glenorchy City Council is seeking an experienced and motivated
Human Resources Advisor to join our People & Culture team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, values-driven environment, supporting leaders and employees across a broad range of HR functions.
Reporting to the Coordinator Human Resources, this position provides professional HR advice and operational support across the employee lifecycle.
You will partner with leaders and employees to deliver consistent, practical and compliant HR services, contributing to positive organisational outcomes and a strong workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely, practical HR advice to leaders and employees across a range of people management matters
- Support the resolution of employee relations matters, including grievances, performance issues and misconduct
- Assist with recruitment and selection, position reviews and workforce planning initiatives
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and projects
- Coordinate and support key HR activities including performance review cycles and reporting
- Ensure HR practices are consistent, compliant and aligned with legislation, Council directives and the Enterprise Agreement
About You
You are an experienced HR generalist with a strong understanding of employment legislation and industrial frameworks, ideally within a complex or unionised environment.
